XM Foundation
Xoliswa Matakane Community Upliftment Foundation is a non-profit organization that specializes in development, program delivery and impact tracing for rural areas in Eastern Cape. With branches in Bisho and East London, its mission is to empower communities, women and youth with the necessary skills and knowledge to improve their prospects of participating in the mainstream economy. Through its various programs and workshops, it strives to restore hope for those who have lost hope of attaining a better life.

Community
In the heart of XM Foundation is the deep appreciation of community and advocacy of family values. This is defined in the life of Bishop Xoliswa Matakane as she believed rural communities, rural opportunities and rural hopes are the essence of our ability to love ourselves and others.
Our programs are guided by a coordinated and intentional community engagement strategy which places ownership at the hands of beneficiaries. The Foundation is set apart by its collaborative and consultative approach to rural development.
Community is more than just a collection of families, or people of likeness; but it is shared sense of hope and opportunity. The Foundation strives to be the key to unlocking legacies buried by neglect and seclusion of rural communities.
